Weekend with applied physics 2018

Dear students!

We would like to invite you to meeting after Physics Brawl named Weekend with applied physics.

Kateřina Rosická, Marco Souza de Joode, Robert Gemrot, Lubor Čech, Martina Daňková, Marie Grunová, Daniel Pitoňák, Jonáš Havelka, Matěj Holubička, Jindřich Jelínek, Hana Slámová, Michal Holec, Jakub Pohly, Maroš Bratko, Tomáš Dulava.

We will meet on 16. 2. 2018 after the end of Physics Brawl, in front of the MFF building, at Ke Karlovu 5 at 16:30. Where will be the first lecture. From there we move to pension Beta in the evening. Expected end is on Sunday of 18. 2. 2018 approximately at 13:30.

Any student of high school or primary school older than 15 can attend. But capacity is limited only on 20 participants. When it will be exceeded, we will prefer participants of Physics Brawl and participants of FYKOS.

We will visit Štefánik's observatory, National technical museum and we will go for a walk through night Prague. We will prepare for you interesting experiments and lectures, too. You will also experience night with lots of interesting board games.

16:00 - 16:30 - Arrival to MFF, Ke Karlovu 5

16:30 - 17:00 - Opening of Weekend with applied physics

17:00 - 19:00 - Crystallography and X-ray diffraction not only in physics (prof. Radomír Kužel)

19:00 - 19:30 - Transfer to pension Beta

19:45 - 03:00 - Playing board games

13:00 - 17:00 - Visit of the National Technical Museum

17:30 - 20:00 - Visit of Štefánik's Observatory

20:00 - 22:00 - Evening walk through Prague

10:00 - 12:00 - Visit of the Interactive Physical Laboratory (Troja)

12:00 - 13:00 - Lunch (pizza)

13:00 - 13:30 - End of Weekend with applied physics

Participant fee is 900 Kč. Entries, traveling tickets, dinners, lunches and breakfasts are included in the fee.

Don´t forget to take ID card, insurance card, participant fee, proof of school attendancy or ISIC and good mood with you.
